The Sacrifice

Christ came into this world so that through Him, we might be saved.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him." John 3:16-17 (ESV)
"I came that they may have life and have it abundantly." John 10:10 (ESV)

We are imperfect people, and have all sinned.

"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" Romans 3:23 (ESV)

Salvation came through Christ's sacrifice. Salvation is a Gift of grace, we don't earn it.

"For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast." Eph. 2:8-9 (ESV)

We all seek Salvation that comes through the Spirit of Adoption.

"And not only the creation, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies." Romans 8:23 (ESV)
"If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." Romans 10:9 (ESV)

Christ offers rest to those who come to Him and seek Him.

"Come to me and I will give you rest ... learn from me and you will find rest for your souls" Matthew 11:28-29

How to know you are saved:

"It is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes" Romans 1:16 (ESV)
"For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God." Romans 8:14 (ESV)
"For the Lord disciplines the one he loves, and chastises every son whom he receives." Hebrews 12:6 (ESV)

Micah 6:8

He has shown you , O man, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you but to do justly, To love mercy, And to walk humbly with your God?
